WOCS Forum & WOCS Resource Manual

The Wheatbelt Child Care Services Draft Resource Manual was launched at the WOCS Forum held in Wickepin 31st October 2008. The manual has been distributed to several child care services to trial with the final version to be released early 2009. Response to the manual from departments and organisations has been positive.

A research paper: “Existing Supports for Wheatbelt Child Care Centre Volunteer Management Committees” was also released at the Forum. The paper identifies existing supports for management committees and child care services with the view to assessing the potential to implement successful forms of support in child care services in other Wheatbelt communities.
